The latemate partner programme

Why your audience will say yes
A problem they already have
Trains run late every day, and train companies owe compensation from 15 minutes late on many routes. Most people don’t bother claiming, because it’s tedious. latemate does the tedious part.
Nothing to lose to try it
The first month is free, with every claim included and no card needed. Then it’s £1.99 a month, cancel any time. An easy yes for anyone who commutes.
The money goes to them
Compensation is paid by the train company straight to the passenger. latemate is a small subscription, and that’s all your commission comes from: never their compensation.
- 1They add the trains they catch. Two minutes, on the website or in WhatsApp or Telegram.
- 2latemate watches every one. When a train is late enough to claim, it asks “Were you on it?”.
- 3One tap and the claim is sent. On Southeastern latemate sends it for them; with other train companies it gets the claim ready for them to send in a couple of taps.
What you earn
You earn 40% of each subscription payment a customer you referred makes, for their first 12 months as a paying customer. At £1.99 a month that’s about 66p a month for every paying subscriber (commission is on the price before VAT).
- Recurring, not one-off. Every month they stay, you’re paid again.
- Credit that sticks. Once someone signs up through your link or code, they’re yours: a later click on someone else’s link can’t take them.
- A 30-day window. They don’t have to sign up the first time they see your post.
- Your own code too, for people who switch devices or block cookies. It’s not a discount: your audience pays the same as everyone else.
- Paid monthly once you have £25 payable; less rolls over to the next month.
An illustration, not a promise: what you earn depends on how many people subscribe and stay. Commission is on what customers actually pay (some take up an introductory offer at a lower price) and is held 30 days in case of refunds.
Made for content
“How late was your train?”
latemate shows how often a route has run late recently, for free, with no sign-up. Look up your audience’s route and show them: it’s a ready-made hook. Try it.
Your own dashboard
See clicks, sign-ups, people on their free month, paying subscribers and your commission, by week, month or all time. It works on your phone, and copying your link takes one tap.
Your audience’s privacy
You see numbers, never who signed up or where they travel. Your followers can recommend latemate to friends without worrying about being tracked by you.

Honest by design
Your audience trusts you, so we keep everything straightforward. Before you post, here’s the short version of the creator guide:
- Label posts about latemate as an Ad, and say you earn commission.
- latemate isn’t a train company, and the train company decides what it pays.
- Anyone can claim directly from their train company for free; latemate does it for them.
Questions
Do I need a big following?
No. An engaged local audience on a busy commuter line can matter more than a big national one. Tell us about yours.
Does it cost anything?
Nothing at all, and there’s nothing to buy or stock.
Do my followers pay more?
No. They pay exactly what everyone else does, and get the same free first month.
When do I get paid?
Each payment’s commission is payable 30 days later (in case of refunds), and we pay out monthly once you have £25 or more. You’ll see every payment in your dashboard.
What if someone cancels?
You keep what they’ve already paid you commission on. If a payment is refunded, its commission is taken off your next payout.
Which train companies does it work with?
latemate sends claims for you with Southeastern, and gets claims ready to send with a growing list of other train companies. Your audience can check their route for free before they sign up.
Is it invite-only?
Yes, we set every partner up personally. Tell us about you below and we’ll be in touch, usually within a couple of days.
